I’m a chiropractor, and I’ve been on a journey of hearing God’s voice and getting to know Him intimately. I began to explore how He was speaking to me, particularly by becoming aware of physical changes in my body. For example, I would feel an increase of pressure in a specific part of my body as soon as a patient walked into my exam room. I began to understand that, by giving me physical words of knowledge, God was leading me so that He could bring healing to their bodies.
A massage therapist friend texted me recently, sharing that she was experiencing such extreme pain in her back that she wasn’t able to stand up. Suddenly, I felt a tightness in my stomach and my throat that I knew was a word of knowledge. The Holy Spirit showed me the specific stretch that would help her, so I explained it via text. Minutes later, she texted me back and said, “As soon as I did that, I could stand up straight. All of the pain left!”
One of my favorite examples of partnering with the Holy Spirit to heal was with a tennis coach who came into my office with extreme elbow pain. As soon as he sat down, though, I received a word of knowledge about specific trauma he’d experienced when he was four years old. The Lord was showing me the stress that he held in his body from this trauma. While I began to give him chiropractic care, I asked him about these childhood incidents. As I spoke, his face turned white, he felt dizzy, and he started to encounter the Lord. I continued to work, but felt something on my hands. As I looked down, I saw gold dust covering my palms. I knew that this manifestation was for my patient. So, I told him, “Look down at your hands!” He turned his hands over, and there was gold dust covering them. He wasn’t a believer, but he just looked down and started to feel the weightiness of the moment. I started to prophecy to him, explaining that he was valuable to God. I said to him, “You’re being delivered, now, from these forces that have been afflicting you since you were a child.” Suddenly, his body went limp and all of the pain in his arms and shoulders left. He knew that something had changed.
