Acting has been a dream and a passion of mine ever since I was a child. I pursued it throughout high school, but in college everyone told me it would be hard to make a living as an actor. So I abandoned my dream and made the sensible decision to pursue a degree in psychology. One year later, I felt lost and confused. I took a huge risk and moved to Redding, California to do Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. Before school started, I sought advice from a mentor who suggested I pursue my dreams. It occurred to me that if God created me to act, his favor would be on it. “Stop saying you’re a guy who likes acting,” my mentor advised, “and start declaring you are an actor!”
I started asking everyone I knew about acting opportunities. I had very little experience and no professional training, but I was persistent and soon heard about auditions for a local film production. To my surprise, despite fierce competition, I landed the lead part in a movie that premiered at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry’s third annual film festival. The week we spent filming was one of the best of my life as my passion was reignited. The film won both the people’s choice and judge’s award for best film. I began my journey into my destiny. Since then, I have acted in four films, acquired a professional coach with Hollywood experience, and am pursuing my dream with the understanding that God loves to see His sons and daughters doing what they were born to do.
