Ten years ago, Alana received a promise from God that she would one day attend BSSM. Every year she would go to God with His promise and ask, “Is this the year?” and He would gently reply, “No, not yet.” She became angry and despondent thinking that she would never attend BSSM. It was too hard and painful for her to continue holding on to this promise and soon she buried the promise deep within her heart, never to be spoken or questioned again.
In September of 2018, at a Sunday church service, a group of five people were prophesying over people that God was highlighting in the congregation. Two people highlighted Alana and prophesied over her that there was something hidden in her heart and it was time to take it our and see it come to pass. Unknown to them, she had just been on the BSSM website looking at the application process but thought it would be impossible for God to get her there. As she heard the prophetic words, she instantly knew that God had finally said it was time for His promise to come true.
Without the financial means to pay for tuition, Alana started to work extra hours at work. She made jewelry on the side to sell and started to plan fundraising events. During this time, God kept telling her, “Can you rest? I’ve got this!” Three months before BSSM, all the extra money she had been working so hard for had been stolen. She was heart broken and discouraged. Again, God said to her, “Can you rest? I’ve got this!” At this point she decided to leave it all up to God to provide for this dream.
Four days before her tuition was due, she still had R45 000 ($3,000) to pay. Her friends gathered to pray for her situation, knowing that God would provide. The next day a couple gave her R15 000 ($980) towards the tuition and within the last 96 hours ALL of the tuition money had been paid off!
God is a promise keeper and a good Father who always provides for His children!
