One Sunday at Bethel Church a lady in her sixties overheard me talking about my practice as a chiropractor. She said, “I have all this back pain. Can I come in for treatment?” She had been a missionary to the Middle East for decades.
She came in on Monday morning, and all I had time to do with her was chiropractic care, but she felt so good that night that she asked to come in the next day for soft tissue treatment. I don’t usually do treatment two days in a row, but she was leaving Wednesday so I agreed. I treated her again on Tuesday and she flew back to the Middle East, so I thought that was the end of it.
Two weeks later I got a phone call from an international number, and I thought it was a mistake. But I answered it, and she was chattering so fast that it took me a minute to realize who I was talking to. It was the missionary. She said, “I couldn’t wait to tell you! You won’t believe this. When I lay in bed at night my body feels perfectly symmetrical.” She’d had a tragic accident as a teenager and hadn’t had symmetrical legs since then. She said, “I started dancing for worship again this week, and I’m doing all kinds of things I couldn’t do before!” I’m convinced that the chiropractic adjustments initiated a supernatural healing work of the Holy Spirit that carried on as she flew home!
