The first prophetic word I received when I came to Bethel in 2015 was that God was already speaking to me through my kids, but it was going to increase. Since then my two sons walk in the supernatural. To be honest, the Lord speaks to them first about what is going to happen in our lives, and they are the ones that come and tell us about it.
I was recently driving and talking on speaker phone to a friend who had just attended a prophetic conference at Bethel. My son Will, who is nine, interrupted me, saying he wanted to give her a word, and I told him, “Just wait. Mommy’s on the phone.” Finally I was saying goodbye, and Will said, “I need to talk to her!” so I let him.
Will told my friend, “I have a word for you. l saw you standing before a lot of people preaching the Word. You carry breakthrough, and as you spoke, people were being healed and set free. You will be going to other nations to bring this Word.” My friend started crying, and I was thinking, Oh no, she didn’t like the word or something. But she said, “No, Cal, this is exactly the same word I got at Bethel during the prophetic conference!”
Then my four-year-old son Izaak chimed in, “God is telling me to tell you that He loves you so much.” We were amazed. Another day while driving, I saw a very black spirit across the road where I was waiting for a train to pass. I was praying and binding it. One minute later, my son Will, who was eight, said, “Mom, what does Satan look like?” I said I thought he must be black and not good-looking. Will said, “I can see him, and I’m telling him he’s not going to catch me because I’m with Jesus.”
One day at church I was going through a difficult time, and a lady who meant well was actually killing my faith by telling me that what I was praying for was impossible. I left and said to Will, who was six, “What type of faith do you want to have?” He looked at me and said, “Mom, I want to have the type of faith that I can take risks.” I felt like he was prophesying to me! So I said that was the type of faith I was going to have, and I carried on, forgetting about the lady’s discouragement. And then what the lady told me was impossible began to happen!
