In October 2012, I began posting on Facebook specific words the Holy Spirit was giving me about individuals who needed healing. After someone was healed, I’d write the testimony under the post. This went on for several months, and in February a woman messaged me asking for prayer. I replied with a quick two-line prayer, but nothing happened. She was a charismatic believer from Indonesia who had been dealing with a hemorrhoid for ten years. She was riding on the back of a motorcycle, and the driver stopped suddenly. The scare caused the hemorrhoid.
The next morning she wrote and said she felt better. She kept me updated on her progress, and about a week later she wrote me a final message to say she was completely healed! I have since followed up with her, and she is still walking in her healing.
Another woman on Facebook asked me for prayer for her thyroid in October. It had been diagnosed as slow and would “never return to normal,” according to the doctors. The medication caused her to retain water, thus making weight loss nearly impossible. On my way to school I prayed a quick prayer for her, “I bless your body!” The next day she wrote back and said she lost ten pounds!
Five months later, in March, she wrote and said she went to the doctor for a check-up, and her thyroid was back to normal! She no longer needed medication. The woman was ecstatic because she comes from a culture where the supernatural is not normal. I was so excited. There is nothing like the adrenaline rush that happens when you are able to report a testimony of God’s work.
There have been 14 instances of healing through Facebook since October 2012. What I’ve learned through this experience is that God is ready to heal anytime, anyplace, anywhere. Whenever, however, wherever! There is no distance in the glory. On earth as it is in heaven can be a reality on our Facebook/social media pages just as much as it is in person.
