We were teaching a healing workshop at a church and our team began talking about how receiving specific details from Holy Spirit about individuals can be helpful in pursuing healing. We gave examples of these specific words for the people in the class.
Jason, one of our team members, called out “Red motorcycle accident” and I called out “Pain in the bottom of the foot.” Slowly, one guy in the back responded, “That’s me.” He was the only person who raised his hand for those words of knowledge, and we began to pray for him, but sadly, nothing seemed to happen.
Later that night, I noticed him again at the church service, and I felt led to check how he was doing. I walked up to him and asked, “Has God healed your foot yet?”
“Not yet,” he said.
Sudden boldness came over me, and I looked him in the eyes and said, “Okay, He’s going to heal you right now!”
So I knelt down and put my hands on his sore foot, praying a simple prayer in Jesus’ name. As I finished, shock covered his face. He said, “It’s gone! The pain is completely gone!” He began to explain that there had been metal in his foot, but now he could bend his foot back and forth as if the metal was gone. He could walk perfectly, without his former limp, and in joy he actually started to strut!
He was crying by this time, and he gave the testimony from the church stage. He continued to share with everyone that he was from Romania and had been going all around Europe looking for a doctor who would operate on his foot. He had met a few of the guys from the church on the train, and they had invited him to come to the service and told him he would get healed. Wow! God is so good!
The group of guys he had met on the train approached him after he gave his testimony on stage and asked him if he wanted to invite Jesus into his heart. He said, “Yes!” The greatest joy for me was seeing this lovely man smiling and walking around for the rest of the night. He had found his healing and then received even more!
