My family and I moved to Asia two years ago with a vision to protect eighteen-year-old girls coming out of orphanages from sex trafficking by giving them job training and marketable skills. We were advised the first step was to start a business in the city because to live here as a foreigner, you must prove you are enhancing the economy and earning money.
As we embarked on the journey of starting a business we experienced the full spectrum of difficulties arising from settling in a foreign country, but our biggest concern was finances. We were warned it could cost up to $100,000 to go through the process, but nevertheless, we moved forward in faith.
Miraculously, the total fee the government required was not $100,000 but $50,000. Although we didn’t have the money, this figure seemed more manageable and our faith grew. One of our financial supporters donated $30,000 towards land, so we asked her if we could use this as registered capital to start our business. She happily agreed!
The remainder of the money was provided in the spring for our new business to start, so we felt ready to get farmland. We had no idea how God would provide for this, but we knew He would. On March 8, my intern at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry introduced me to a supernatural connection, Benjamin. This man offered his farmland to us-free of charge! It’s close to our city and will provide a wonderful place for the teen girls to come and live. There is already a 24 room dormitory on the land which will house 100 people, there is plenty of land for farming, coops for chickens, and a large kitchen and dining facility for us all to use.
My family has been dreaming of this place for the last two years. As God would show us glimpses of what the land would be like we would draw prophetic art pictures of it. So when we walked this ‘promised land’ the first time, we were not surprised that it included every one of these elements!
In two years we went from having no idea how to start a business and being extremely intimidated by the financial implications to being proud owners of a business in Asia! And we also had no idea how we would get land, but now we have farmland miraculously provided so we can care for teen orphan girls. It has not been an easy process, but God came through for us and we love living our dreams through His supernatural provision.
