Before a church service in Nicaragua, I met a nine-year-old girl with no arches in her feet, one leg shorter than the other, uneven shoulders, and back pain. She had to wear a big brace around her back and down her legs and special shoes with built-in arches. During worship, God gave me visions of this little girl running around the church without her brace and dancing on the dance team with the other little girls.
At the end of the meeting, my mission trip team went to pray for this young girl, and she burst into tears as I told her and her mother about the visions God had shown me. We laid hands on her, and her back pain started to go down. I closed my eyes and saw Jesus standing in front of the little girl, so I took my hand off her back and stopped praying and asked the group to do the same, because I felt Jesus wanted to heal her Himself. I told the little girl, “Jesus is standing in front of you. Do you see Him?” She closed her eyes and nodded.
I said, “He’s going to speak to you.” After waiting a few seconds, I asked, “What is Jesus saying to you?”
She said, “He is going to heal me, and I will never be sick again!” Immediately the pain left her back, her leg grew out, her shoulders evened out, and arches formed in her feet! When her mother saw the arches, she began to cry. Her little brother yelled, “Oh, my God!” and fell to his knees crying. I asked the mother if her daughter could try to walk with me without her brace and when she gave her permission, I walked with the little girl around the church and then she ran around the church with no brace and no pain! It was the first time she had ever run! I started to teach her how to dance and asked one of the church leaders to give her a dance team outfit, because now she was going to join the dance team. I found out later it was always her dream to be part of the dance team! I cried for at least half an hour after we finished dancing because I was so moved by God’s kindness.
The little girl went to the doctor that week, and her doctor confirmed she was healed. She came back to the church on Sunday and gave her testimony and she was wearing new shoes. Jesus is so real and so good!
