I was part of the Skype ministry team serving at a healing service on Saturday, February 22, 2014.
Before we started, we “got filled up” by focusing and receiving God’s presence. We had the honor of having some friends, John and Janet, who were associates of Dr. James Maloney, share and impart to us before we ministered for the day.
I asked John if he would pray for me. He prayed for an increase in boldness, confidence, and accuracy for specific words from Holy Spirit.
After an hour of amazing healings through Skype that morning, I wanted to exercise the impartation I’d received from John for hearing Holy Spirit. I was walking around the screens and noticed that one team member, Nathan, was laughing hysterically with a woman on a Skype call.
Her name was Lori. I asked God for a word and got a faint whisper: “Mary Anne.”
I tapped Nathan on the shoulder and asked him to ask the lady on the call if she knew anyone by the name of Mary Anne. She said no, but her sister-in-law was named Mary. I said, “That’s good enough!” At this stage, I had nothing more than a name, but I knew God would give me something else when I needed it. Nathan handed me the headphones, and I spoke with Lori about her sister-in-law Mary. I asked her if she knew of anything that Mary needed prayer for in her body. I got an impression that something was wrong in her spine.
I asked Lori to call Mary and ask if she had anything wrong with her spine. Mary answered the call and put the phone on speaker, as she was driving. When I asked about her spine, she said that she had been in excruciating pain because of her neck. It was at a pain level of eight out of ten. She also mentioned that the previous night, her neck was totally locked up, and she’d told God, “I need someone to pray for my neck!” I was shocked and encouraged at the same time. I knew God was going to heal this woman today. I explained to Mary that God sent me from Australia six months ago to Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry so I would be on a Skype call with her sister-in-law Lori, so she would call her today, so God could heal her because He loves her so much. She was blown away, as was Lori.
After laughing together and a quick thirty-second prayer, I asked Mary how it was feeling. She said that when she moved her neck, it hurt only two times out of five instead of 100 percent of the time. We all celebrated and laughed, both on the Skype call and the phone call. We knew that God was moving and wasn’t finished yet.
I got the impression that God was going to finish it off. I told her this, and as she started moving her neck, she experienced more relief and loosening. She ended up pulling over to the side of the road as she couldn’t believe what was taking place in her neck. Her pain level went down to a two out of ten as the peace of God filled her car. All of us were simply in awe of what God was doing in her at this time. I was so encouraged by following God’s promptings, even though they were the faintest whispers and impressions.
As we were laughing and celebrating, Lori asked Mary what her middle name was. She replied, “Anne.”
