I was walking in one of our city parks when I noticed two men sitting at a table. The thought entered my mind that one of them had a head injury and decided to go ask if I could pray for him. When I got close, I said “Which one of you has a head injury?” the man was shocked. He told me he was rushed to the hospital three days earlier because of a head wound.
I explained God had told me about his head injury because He loves him and wants him healed. As I began to pray for healing, God told me the man also had an injured ankle. I asked him, “Which ankle is in pain?” Again, the man was astounded I knew about issues in his body. He lifted up his foot, I prayed a short prayer and his ankle was instantly healed!
I explained Jesus is our healer and came to bring him the fullest life possible. The man wanted to be in relationship with this Jesus who had just invaded his world with supernatural power. After he committed his life to Jesus, I asked him how he felt. “Powerful,” he answered. “I feel powerful.” I marveled at what happens when a person with a powerless situation meets a powerful Jesus, and becomes powerful themselves. He left the park that day with a new reason to live.
