The team I am with in Nicaragua had the opportunity to partner with a church and minister to those in a trash dump community. Before we went out, we spent some time in prayer and worship. During this time a little girl got highlighted to me and I felt like I needed to take her out and pray for people. I asked her if she wanted to go pray for people and she said no. I said that was fine, and that I was not going to force her to go, but I felt so strongly in my spirit that God wanted me to take her out to pray for people!
After we finished worship, me and two others started to go house to house asking if anyone needed prayer. We came to one lady who let us into her house so we could pray. After we were done I asked her if she knew anyone else who may need prayer or was in need of healing. She directed us a couple of houses down to a lady who had stomach pain. We went and prayed for that lady and saw her get healed, praise God! I asked her the same question, she then directed us to a lady who had a hernia. We prayed for her and she was totally healed! She was able to pick up a full bucket of water afterwards with no pain! I then asked her the same question, if she knew anyone who needed healing! She directed us to a woman who had no feeling in her right foot and arm. She had severe back pain, horrible headaches, an issue with her brain and she also had diabetes! She had all of this for the last 4 years and some things she had for even longer! She could not walk without a cane, and even with the cane she had a difficult time walking.
I was fully confident that God would heal her 100% of everything, so we jumped right into praying for one thing at a time. I prayed for her once and we saw a little bit of improvement. As we were praying, a little girl walked in, I later found out it was her granddaughter. Before I prayed a second time, I realized what God was doing. I asked the little girl if she would like to pray, with the sweetest smile on her face she said yes! I told her to lay her hands on her grandmother and I guided her through a very simple prayer for healing. We prayed for about 30 minutes, praying for each problem that she had with her body. Every time the little girl prayed, the grandmother was healed instantly! We then had the lady stand up and walk without her cane and to her surprise she could walk with no pain! The little girl had the most adorable smile seeing her grandmother pain free for the first time in years.
The lady walked outside to get her husband who also had health issues and you could see on his face that he was in awe that she was walking without a cane! We sat down with the husband and found out he had cancer of the vocal cords and had a tube in his throat, making him unable to speak. We had a little girl pray again and we prayed that he would get the financial provisions to get the procedure he needed which was only $200.00. (After an hour of this testimony being shared, two generous people donated $200 to have his procedure which will result in him being able to speak again!)
It was so amazing to see God show up in such an amazing way, as he always does. It was even better to see that little girl pray for her grandmother. I am so grateful with what God is doing in my life but also how he is enabling me to help others live the life he has called them to!
