One evening while having dinner with a friend she suddenly said, “Do you want to go to the brothel after dinner?” I stared at her.
She had been working with girls in brothels for over a year but I had never been to one in my life. I had been praying for opportunities to love people who don’t know God’s love so I took a deep breath, conquered my fear, and said, “Ok.” My heart raced as we made the drive and walked to the entrance. I knocked on the door.
A few seconds later a pimp cracked the door open. He recognized my friend so he let us in. We walked down the dark hallway to a lounge room where two girls came in and sat down. We chatted for a bit and then suddenly God told me to tell the pimp he was a really good father. As I told him, tears started rolling down his cheeks. Not knowing anything at all about his family situation, I said, “God wants to restore things in your family. Within a week your son will contact you.”
We talked with them for all for about two hours, we held hands and all of us began to rock backwards and forwards as God’s presence poured over us. Then we began to tell the girls of God’s love for them and speak positive encouraging words to them from God. Afterwards the pimp said, “I’ve never felt like this before.” As we left the brothel, the pimp turned off the lights. My friend turned o me and said “they never do that! Something just happened in his life!”
The following weekend, my friend returned and while she was there the pimp’s son walked through the door and the pimp welcomed his son back into the family. God loves to restore families!
