Our mission trip team had a rewarding day preaching and performing miracles in a local village in India. God was moving powerfully in the lives and hearts of the people we encountered. Little did we know that as we took time to rest and have lunch, the local police chief and area magistrate were planning our arrest. When the police chief arrived at our location, he heard the message of Jesus and received salvation. The magistrate also allowed our team to surround and pray for him.
Afterward, in the early afternoon, as we were getting ready to leave, someone began passing out lollipops. A couple of us noticed an older gentleman nearby who had a walking cane and was in obvious pain. When we approached him and asked if we could pray for him, he allowed us to do so and took a lollipop. As we prayed, his pain gradually decreased, so we kept praying. Soon he communicated to us that all of his pain was gone and that he no longer needed his cane!
