I went to England on a mission trip, and one day our group taught a prophetic art class in Exeter. We got to activate the class in the prophetic by having each of them paint something for someone else in the room, then give it to them at the end of class.
I felt like I should use the colors burgundy and white to paint a dress. It was funny, because I didn’t really feel like it was like something God was saying to do, but I did it. At the end of the class, one girl stood out to me who I felt like should pursue fashion. I didn’t really feel anything significant about the colors or the painting, but I went and gave it to her.
She said that she was in college, and she was trying to decide what creative direction to go in for her degree. She said that before they had come to class that day her sister had asked her, “If you could make any dress, what would it look like?” Come to find out, she had responded that she would make a burgundy dress with white jewels, and the dress I’d painted was exactly the dress she’d imagined in her head! She really felt like it was a confirmation that she should pursue fashion design.
God is so cool to use something I didn’t think was significant to really help bring clarity to someone!
