My mission trip team held several church services on our mission trip to Colombia. At the beginning of one church service I asked God to highlight someone to me. As I looked around, I saw a teenage boy who didn’t seem very happy to be there. At the end of the service, we called out specific insights given to us by Holy Spirit and asked people to come to the front if the words had meaning for them.
The teenage boy who had stood out to me began to walk to the front of the church. I noticed he was crying. Moved with compassion, I walked up to him and asked if he wanted me to pray for anything specific. He showed me an infection all over his arms and face. I prayed, and another teammate came over to pray also, but nothing changed. I was so surprised nothing happened and I tried praying again. Still, nothing seemed to happen.
The next day we attended the same church and after the service a young man came up to me with a huge smile on his face. I didn’t recognize him until he pointed to his arms and face, and then I realized it was the teenager I had prayed for. All the infection was gone and his appearance had totally changed! He was so happy! I was thankful I got to see him again because God showed me that even though we don’t always see answers to our prayers immediately, He is always working!
