I felt to share this with you as we are a testimony in the making. Dave’s sharing on the video about the $200,000 miracle is very timely and we are believing for a similar miracle.
I pastor a 6-year-old church plant in NJ with my associate pastor. We met Dave last fall when we became BLN members. My husband is an investment banker who works in NYC. We are a “Deborah/Lapidoth” couple.
My husband received a word from the Lord in 2006 that He was giving us land on the highest place in our county. In 2007 we moved in to the parish house/ministry facility where I worked as an itinerant minister. His work has supported the ministry facility since 2007. The sales cycle in his business is from 6 months to 3 years in some cases and only then are fees paid out. The past 10 years have been brutal in the U.S. for his area of industry. At the last BLN in April of this year, we learned that his business line, was being phased out at his company and he had a few months to complete any open business.
The past 5 years, business in his industry has continued to decline along with personal compensation, requiring that we deplete all savings to remain in the parish house/ministry facility, while growing the church. Each time we sought the Lord with regard to giving up the land, the Lord admonished us to trust Him. We have come to the end of all resources, are now fighting foreclosure of the parish house/ministry facility and the church is subsidizing our monthly provision while my husband pursues new business opportunities. As we have been standing on His promises, declaring His promises daily and pushing back fear, He releases encouragement through our BLN and Bethel connections like yours.
Winning the Nintendo Switch for us/the church was a sign. Nintendo means “leave luck to heaven”. Even though luck means that “success or failure is brought on by chance rather than by one’s own efforts,” Nintendo declares that we leave our “chance” to be determined by heaven. And our chance, our success, our victory, has already been determined in heaven. As Pastor Bill says, we are warring from victory, not for victory. This gift was a kiss from Dad affirming that He knows our needs, knows the stretching we are enduring, what we need to walk this out and victory is His promise.
