My mission trip team organized a day conference at a hotel in Viareggio, Italy, a beautiful historic beach town with no history of spiritual revival. People came from all over Italy, from Bologna to Sicily, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Our ministry times focused on two areas: the restoration of hope and physical healing.
During the evening ministry time, one of our worship leaders was praying with a woman whose lower leg was completely black and had no muscle tissue. The woman also had some swelling around her neck.
As soon as the leader touched her leg, the woman began to say, “It’s a miracle. It’s a miracle!”
Through the interpreter, the leader found out that even light touch had caused excruciating pain, but when the female leader touched the woman’s leg, the pain had completely gone away. As she and another team member continued to pray, the color began to return to the woman’s leg, and the muscle tissue was restored until her leg looked almost normal! They also led her through some forgiveness prayers and explained how to steward her healing.
A few days later, the team passed through the woman’s hometown of Asti, where we met with her again and celebrated the healing.
