We’d just arrived at a famous Catholic church in Mexico City. I went in with my friend Nathan and we began to walk through the church praying and blessing this historic place.
As we were walking, I noticed a woman in her late 50s looking at the bones of a famous saint which were behind a screen of glass built into the old stone walls. I felt drawn to go and talk to her, so I grabbed Nathan and we went.
She only spoke a little English, but after some small talk we asked if we could pray for her for anything, as Jesus was healing people. She was a little hesitant but then she replied that she was partially deaf in her left ear and was open to us praying for her.
So we placed our hands on her and prayed for about 20 seconds. Then we asked her if she could check it out. There wasn’t much change, so we asked if we could pray one more time. After praying a second time, we then asked her to check it out again. This time I stood about two meters and behind her and said words that I wanted her to repeat. As she faced away from me, she could repeat the words I was quietly speaking.
So I took two large steps away and now was about four meters away. Again, I spoke quietly and the woman could repeat my words exactly. We continued this process until I was about 15 meters away and this lovely woman could repeat everything I was saying!
My friend Nathan told her to turn around and look how far away I was, and when she saw the distance she was absolutely shocked! Jesus had opened her deaf ear in a dimly lit corner of a Catholic church! Jesus, I pray that you do it again! – from Dave Harvey
